Psalm 119:36, "Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain."
There's really nothing clever here, nothing smart to say. Just a prayer that this would be my daily prayer. That God would be first on my heart and that all that I say and do would be for His glory and not my own. Sounds easy, sounds simple. But it's not for me...so I pray, "Lord help my heart turn toward your Word and laws and not toward my own desires and wants. Help me remember that 'With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.' (Mark 10:27). Thank you for the grace and mercy You show me as I try to make myself less and make You greater."
