"Timber?!"

Psalm 21:7, "For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken."

When I hear of this verse, I think of the huge sequoia trees in California...big enough to drive a car through.  I think...maybe wish moreso...that this is how we should all be.  The Bible also talks about trees and their roots. Jeremiah 17:8, "They will be like a tree planted by water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.  It has not worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."  Psalm 1:3 also says, "He is like a tree planted by streams of water that bears its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither.  In all that he does, he prospers."

I want to be so rooted in God's Word, His Love, His Community of believers that the circumstances of this life will not shake me.  I have no reason to doubt His love...how deep, how wide, how far.  I've seen it in my life.  He is always faithful, He is always good.
