Psalm 130:7, "O Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with Him is full redemption."
I love the "O Israel". Weird, but...I sense his desperation in those two words. Because there are times, with people I love in my life that I just want to say, "O ___________, put your hope in the Lord." With the two most important people on my list I've had the conversations...used logic, emotion, reason...and just want to cry "O ____________"
Often you come up against the assumption that people who believe are so simple minded and that's why they choose to believe...they/we don't know the science, the facts. Oh, but excusez-moi. My faith is based on facts and scientific minds greater than myself have sought answers only to turn to faith.
But, when it comes down to it, with me...people will always want to argue the facts (theirs versus yours), but no one can argue against your testimony of how putting your hope in the Lord has completely transformed you. And it's wanting to share that life change, that joy, hope, love that makes you want to share it with others especially those closest to you. And it leaves you feeling desperate.
O friends, can't you see? "...put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with Him is full redemption."
